Rahu and Ketu Transit 2022; Important Transit Secrets and Avakahada Chakra

6th of March 2022; 14:36:30; Dehradun, India time is when Rahu and Ketu change their Rashi from Taurus to Aries. To know how this transit impacts you there are some major rules which I am going to talk about, this can be used to check any transit though.

First of all, remember that the transits are more applicable from the name Rashi (Rashi where your name falls) which is given in ‘Avakahada Chakra’ in every Panchanga.

How to use this table: Find the Rashi and Nakshatra where the first letter of your name falls in and see any transit from that Rashi only, always. This is my research that transits from Name Rashi are more effective and important. If the first letter of your name is not in the table, then take the letter which is most closely resonates with the first letter of your name, for example, if someone’s name is ‘Bhupesh’ now ‘Bhu’ is not falling in the table, in that case, take the closest resembling letter which will be ‘U’ as the word ‘Bhu’ is made up of ‘Bha’ which is not present in the table and ‘U’ which is present in the table, hence the Rashi and Nakshatra where ‘Uu’ falls have to be taken, which makes ‘Bhupesh’ fall in ‘Taurus’ Rashi and ‘Krittika’ Nakshatra, hence Bhupesh should always see transits from Taurus Rashi and Krittika Nakshatra only.

Those who can’t read or write their name in Hindi/Sanskrit should use transliteration software to transliterate their name and then should use this table. For example, the name ‘Alec’ will be ऐलक, making the first letter of the name ‘Ae’ which falls in Taurus Rashi and Krittika Nakshatra.

The First Technique

If the Rahu or Ketu is transiting in the third house, sixth house, eleventh house or tenth house from the sign where your name falls, this can be considered as a good transit normally beneficial for you and the transit of Rahu and Ketu will not give you shocking or bad results at all. But because these planets always remain seventh to each other, when one is transiting well another’s transit will be in a bad house.

Rahu comes with deceit, cheating, hallucinations, loss, shock and grief, on the positive side Rahu makes you more focused regarding the house he is transiting in, gives good success in the matters of the house he is transiting in and also makes that house your prime focus in life along with giving some unexpected surprises related to that house. And don’t forget all this has to be checked from the sign where your name falls.

Ketu comes with disinterest, feeling of getting stuck, laziness and loss of interest with respect to the houses he is transiting in and on a positive side whichever house Ketu is in your horoscope or transiting in from your Name Rashi, you can be carefree about that house as it is already taken care of by divine will.

If you haven’t noticed, I have just in hints have also told that these transit results can be applied in natal charts to see the results of Rahu and Ketu and what they give or take away from the horoscope.

The Second Technique

To know whether Rahu will be beneficial or not check the Rashi where Rahu is transiting in the Bhinna-AshtakaVarga of Mercury known as BAV of Mercury given in every astrological software and if that sign is having less than 4 points into it, the transit of Rahu is going to be painful, not only bad but painful whereas if the sign is having more than 4 points then that particular transit of Rahu is going to be beneficial, rewarding, auspicious and going to come with new positive changes and opportunities related to that house.

The same has to be done for Ketu but for Ketu, you have to see the Bhinna-AshtakaVarga of Jupiter or BAV of Jupiter. The rule is the same, more than 04 points in the sign being transited by Ketu comes with good luck, fortune, positive events and positive changes regarding that house and less than 04 points in that house comes with bad events and misfortunate changes regarding that house.

Remember, this second rule can overpower the first rule, hence judging the results accordingly.

The Third Technique 

If Rahu and Ketu are transiting over planets then what happens?

Rahu over Sun gives challenges to power and authority and can come with defamation along with bad results to father whereas Ketu transiting over Sun, which Ketu transiting in the Rashi where Sun is placed in the natal charts comes with good spiritual advancements and the person having some strong spiritual experiences as well.

Rahu over Moon makes one do research and produce new things whereas on the negative side can make one an overthinker and obsessed about things whereas Ketu over Moon makes one disinterested in things and can lead into relationships being there only for namesake without having to give any happiness.

Rahu over Mars is a time when one needs to shout out loud against harassment and bullying done over them, it is time to revolt as such people who have Mars Rahu conjunction even in their birth chart are so good to others that they can suffer a lifetime without saying a single word until and unless the suppression is way too much. Rahu over Mars is also a time of delay where the results of good deeds come late and bad Karma’s hit quickly. Ketu over Mars is a time when you should keep your anger and natural reaction to things under control, generally it is a time when a person spends a whole lot of energy and resources doing things that can be easily done otherwise leading to loss, misuse and wastage of power. One remains diseased and suffers from fever, head and stomach related ailments and can have bile related issues, hence food should contain much of products having more water content and one should take out time often for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Rahu over Mercury is a time for research, writing books, kickstarting your intellectual career, finishing your education, starting new learnings and is a time when one is quite successful in Mantra Sadhana as well whereas Ketu over Mercury is a time for relaxation, one makes many mistakes, have to be careful about their words and speech and generally, people either lose things or forget to remember about useful things and people at the right time.

Rahu over Jupiter is the time to break free, propose your idea to the world and change the preconceived notion of people about you, make new relationships and showcase yourself to the world, a good time for fame but comes with health issues and weaknesses. Ketu over Jupiter is a good time for meditation, relaxation, healing, self-development and spiritual journey, a good time to go on pilgrimage, explore yourself or start a new hobby.

Rahu over Venus, gets people married, deepens the spousal relationship, is also a positive time to be blessed by progeny, one becomes famous and lives a comfortable and luxurious life. Ketu over Venus comes with some strong and strange changes in marital life, you give space to your partner and in end gets rewarded, it starts new affairs which doesn’t get materialized and if one plans to sell their home, vehicle or properties at this point of time, they can make much profit through it, however, the time is hectic and one can hardly relax or give time to their family members.

Rahu over Saturn is a time for professional change, one starts a new career and gets their long due name, fame, status and promotion in their professional lives. Ketu over Saturn is a time which comes with health problems, a complete change of professional life and sometimes loss of job which is sad, not positive and makes one uselessly wander (which means meeting people with the hope of something positive but not getting any results at all).

Rahu over Ketu or Ketu over Rahu is a time of a Karmic Reversal, this is the time when the people who were enjoying have to work for next nine and a half years so that they can enjoy again whereas those who were working hard have to relax and enjoy life now. Bad marriage turns into good and good marriages see some testing phase, this is a Karmic reversal that changes the shift of life for the greater benefit of the person and horoscope.

The Fourth Technique

If your Moon is in Aries, Scorpio or Gemini then this transit of Nodes is normal for you, don’t expect greater changes. If your Moon is in Pisces, Leo or Sagittarius then this transit of Nodes will be very strong and life-changing for you which is normally positive only and only a few bad results are felt, but when the previous rules make the nodal transit bad those few bad results are shocking to the core. If your Moon is in Aquarius, Libra or Cancer then the results are also good, which gives 60% of good results and only 40% of bad results. Whereas if your Moon is in Capricorn, Virgo or Taurus then this nodal transit is disturbing, malefic and inauspicious for you.

The Fifth Technique; Lagna Based Transit and a Parashara Shloka

The great sage Parashara, in his ‘Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra’ mentions that when Rahu or Ketu is placed in Kendra (1st, 4th, 7th or 10th House) and aspected or conjoined by a Kona lord (1st, 5th and 9th) house lords then it creates a Rajayoga, same is the case when Rahu or Ketu is placed in Kona Houses (1-5-9 Houses) of a horoscope and aspected or conjoined by a Kendra lord (1-4-7-10) house lords.

As we can see, Lagna is both a Kendra and Kona, hence Rahu or Ketu in Lagna further getting influenced by the Lagna lord of 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th or 10th house makes a great Rajayoga. Rajayoga gives one name, fame, status, success, authority and comfortable life.

All the rules which are applicable for natal chart analysis can also be applied to the ‘Gochara’ transits, with the proper use of mind.

Keeping the above two things in mind, the particular transit of Rahu and Ketu are going to be Rajayoga producers for Leo, Aries, Aquarius, Libra, Cancer, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Gemini and Leo signs, if you ‘Lagna’ also known as ascendant falls in any of these signs, then these times (mentioned below) produce Rajayoga effects for you, which means at these times you will be enjoying name, fame, status, success, authority and comforts in life and also because the above times are Rajayoga producers, you can start any new venture or do any auspicious activities at these times and success will be there, but don’t forget to consult Panchnga and other planetary transits other than the transit of Rahu and Ketu before taking any major, serious decision. Any date range coming more than once is more and more favourable and auspicious.

Note, when I say Saturn based Rajayoga it means the results of Rajayoga is felt in and through the houses lorded by Saturn for that particular ascendant, the results of Rajayoga in and through the things signified by Saturn etc. For example, for an Aries ascendant, Saturn based Rajayoga will be a Rajayoga for the professional life as Saturn lords the tenth house and is also the Karaka for the profession and a time for good income as Saturn also lords the eleventh house for Aries Ascendant.

When the Lagna Lord itself is making the Rajayoga or when the tenth house lord is making the Rajayoga then it will be the strongest time for success in whatever undertakings one have the Rajayoga produced by the ninth lord is the most fortunate time.

Endnote – As you can notice for Libra and Capricorn Ascendants, this whole period comes under Rajayoga as they have Rajayoga through Saturn throughout this time. For Libra, this transit is the time of having happiness, mental peace, contentment, good for mother and is also beneficial for purchasing vehicles, lands and properties also good time to plan for progeny, succeed in education and do some research or scholarly work. For Capricorn, this whole transit is good for making money, starting a family, saving money, making some great investments and this transit comes with name, fame, success, changes in responsibilities, freedom from disease and overall success and happiness.

There is no Rajayoga for Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio and Pisces Ascendants through this Rahu and Ketu transit of 2022 which is to remain there till the last quarter of 2023, but nothing to worry there will be other major transits for these ascendants which will change their fate and will be Rajayoga producers for them.

Remedies

If this nodal transit is bad for you, remember to donate money, clothes and food to people who are poor, remain aloof from society and those who are generally disrespected or those who do lower works such as cleaning or sweeping.

Try to visit a Shiva temple, chant Mrityunjaya Mantra and try to bathe Shivalinga with water, milk and curd at least every Monday.

Can also chant ‘Vishnu Sahastranaama’ or can listen to it on YouTube every morning after you wake up.

If you are in India or planning to pay a visit, then please visit ‘Manasa Devi Temple’ in Uttarakhand, or at other places or visit Snake temples across India, visit ‘Chandra Maulishwara’ in Ujjain, ‘Kukke Subrahmanya’ temple in Karnataka, ‘Basukinath’ in Jharkhand. ‘Trayambakeshwar’ in Maharastra, ‘Ekalingji’ in Rajasthan, ‘Nageshwar’ in Gujrat, ‘Mannarashala Temple’ in Kerala, ‘Sheshnaag Lake’ in Kashmir Valley. You can visit any of these temples, stay there for three days and visit the shrine on all three days, the first day in the morning, the second day at Noon and last day in the Evening, pray to the deity for your welfare and warding off the evil effects of Rahu and Ketu from your horoscope and on all these days, sleep on the ground, eat vegetarian food, don’t copulate or drink alcohol and don’t fight with people or be angry on anyone. Especially don’t curse people, as cursing leads to loss of divine potential of a living being.
