Introduction
We learnt about Shastiamsa deities in the first part of this article, and then I revealed the secret message of each Shastiamsa portion given in Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra. In the second part of this article series, we analysed Shastiamsa as a member of the divisional charts family. Now, I wish to give some secrets related to Shatiamsa which was developed by me based on different hint’s given by individuals and books I have read. I wish to cover some very basic but important questions such as how to rectify such a minute divisional chart which changes in almost two minutes.
But at the outset, I wish to advise something to readers. Mind the word developed by me as per the hints given by books and peoples. This is the truth in Jyotish, no one can teach you anything, in the end, you need to develop your own style. It is like driving, a teacher may teach you fundaments but how you drive is purely based on your own handling of the car.
Before we proceed, I wish to state that the article will be highly unorganised, please bear with this.
Rectification of D60
There is a saying in Hindi that [Name of Rama is mightier that Rama himself], Then at several instances, I came to read that Shiva tells to Parvati when inquired about that on whom you meditate, he replies I meditate on the name of Shri Rama. After constantly thinking about this, I got some ideas. It is never fixed that who will give a name to a person, anyone can give no fixed relative is appointed for this. Then I also came to realise that words have power and they are indestructible and that is the reason behind working of a Mantra. But now the problem was how to decode it. I took charts of members of the British Royal Family [For an accurate birth time’s], tried many ideas and in end succeeded with one. Before revealing the technique let me clear at outset, I won’t flaunt the name of Parampara, secret techniques, tradition etc. These techniques are my ideas tested vigorously on charts and only after satisfying myself with results, I present them here. As far as secrets are concerned, Yes. I do have some very brilliant and infallible techniques which never fails, and I never discuss them with anyone but that must not be the cause for me to not even share anything. With time I develop new techniques for and once done successfully I give out the previous techniques here, as simple as that.

The first list is based on the Panchaswara Dasha of Parashara and planetary lordships are taken from Prashna Marga, the Second table is of KaTaPaYaDi which is used in decoding Jaimini.
Let me introduce these two things first, In the chapter dealing with different Dasha systems. Sage Parashara introduces Panchaswara [I am reproducing all shlokas here]. It will be used in a different context in end of the article.

[Literal Translation]: First write letters from one to five, then write Aakara etc Vowels and then write Kakara etc consonants below them, but don’t write ‘Da’,; Gya’, ‘Na’ consonants, [excluding them] write all vowel and consonants below these five letters.
‘Da’,; Gya’, ‘Na’ consonants are not pronounced in this table, because these names never occur as starting letters of any name, if it is [If name starts from ‘Da’,; Gya’, ‘Na’ consonants] the use ‘Ga’, ‘Ja’, ‘Uu’ instead of these words [In serial order replace ‘Da’ to ‘Ga’, ‘Gya’ to ‘Ja’, ‘Na’ to ‘Uu’]
If there is a half letter in starting of a name then use the complete letter appearing in the first letter of the name [For example Steve Jobs, the First letter is Sta which is a half letter hence we take Ta as the first letter of the name].
Deities of these five sounds are Brahma etc [Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva-Ganesha-Surya], Nivritti etc Kala [Nivritti-Upeksha-Aadan-Upadaan-Pravriti], Iccha etc Powers [Iccha-Raag-Dwesha-Abhinivesh-Ahankaar], Maya etc five circles [Maya-Avidya-Tamistra-Andhatamistra-Moha], Five Mahabootas such as Dhara etc [Pritthi-Jala-Teja-Vayu-Aakash] and Shabda, Sparsha, Roopa, Rasa, Gandha these five things are arrows of Kama. Like this Prabha etc 12 Samvatasara repeats in these five words. Each word in these has 12 years [Hence 12×5=60 years].
I am not explaining these philosophical things here for want of space however it must be very clear that Parashara has very finely made us understood that nature, elements, qualities, deities all have lordship over these words. Hence your name starting from any word is not just a mere coincidence but is a well-planned motive of God.
The Technique
Technique 1: Panchaswar Chakra – First letter of the name have a ruling planet, that ruling planet must have a connection with D60 Lagna.
Technique 2: KaTaPaYaDi Chakra – Count the Rashi of the name of native as per KaTaPaYaDi chakra and that Rashi must also have a connection to the D60 lagna of the native
Technique 3: Matching events – Never satisfy with these techniques, after both these methods you may have some probable ascendants, choose the one most suitable to person as per past events in his life, his likes and dislikes or as per his complexion etc.
Example: Steve Jobs
In the previous part of the article which can be read here, I took the example of Steve Jobs twice and in end, I told that his given birth-time is 19:15 but I have corrected it to 19:17:05, Why?
With 19:15 D60 lagna is Gemini, with 19:17:05 D60 lagna is Cancer. Why I changed this? Using my technique number one, his name is Steve, In the name, ‘Sa’ is half and ‘Ti’ is complete [If it is written in Hindi/Sanskrit – Language of Jyotish], lord of ‘Ti’ as per our table is Venus, this gives us Gemini [Lord + Ve], Cancer [Having Ve], Virgo [Lord + Ve], Libra [Sign of Ve], Taurus [Sign of Ve], and Capricorn [Aspected by Venus] as probable Lagna.
Now we use KaTaPaYaDi Chakra, leave half letter ‘Sta’ and take letters ‘Ta’ and ‘Va’ which represents 1 and 4 respectively, reversing them it makes 41, divided by 12 remainders is 5 which gives the Sign Leo. Now fitting Leo in Here we have probable Rashi as Cancer [Lord of Cancer is in Leo]. Hence we fix the D60 Lagna to Leo. But why we should accept it?
We must check events relating to this ascendant. One event of his illegitimate children was illustrated in the previous article of the series. Now we see Dhana Yoga. Lagna lord [Moon] is in the 2nd house with 2nd lord [Sun] in 9th house with 5th and 10th lord [Mars] and 11th lord [Venus] in Lagna makes a classical and power Dhana Yoga. Can we see Dhana Yoga’s from Gemini ascendant, of course, No! This proves the validity of our technique.
Don’t accept this blindly, use it, test it and then accept it. I tested it on charts but I have my definition of what relationship means, can be different from what relationship means for you. This is the catch, one may teach you various technique but real difference lies in basics, for example, C.S.Patel makes Ashtakavrga based on Shripati Bhava Chakra, P.S.Shastri uses Parasharian Ashtakavarga whereas K.N.Rao uses Varahamihira’s Ashtakavarga preferences, In no book, he has written this [as far as I have seen]. Now If you apply the method of K.N.Rao into Parashara Ashtakavarga then it is bound to fail.
Take another example an astrologer advises first see placement of a planet in Bhava if placement is not there then see aspect and if aspect is not there then see lordship, another astrologer may say that aspect is just modification hence if no planet is in a Bhava then directly jump to lord whereas the third astrologer may advise see all three of Bhava, Bhavesha and aspects and then decide. Now it up to you which method you develop yourself but this no-one will teach, this is what needs to be learned from reading between the lines or closely following an astrologer or an example given by him.
Now I will give some Shlokas from Brihat Parashara Hora which are very precious when it comes to judging a Bhava, these can be safely expanded to Divisional charts but in the process of expansion don’t lose your mind [One example of this will be hinted in explanation of a Shloka].
Lord of lagna if placed in 8th 12th and 6th houses, combined with malefics then one is devoid of physical comforts. This rule is for all Bhava’s [houses], which means whichever house lord if in 8th, 12th and 6th house combined with malefics one is devoid of results of those houses.
[I will add some point here, many people take these 8th, 12th and 6th house always from Lagna {for all Bhava’s}, but in my humble opinion this rule is to be applied taking Bhava as Lagna. Bas houses from lagna mean one is physically not able to carry such work whereas bad houses from Bhava means one is not able to do things because of his choice or other unfavourable circumstances.
Another point here is the order, 8th house is the most malefic and 6th house is the least malefic because 6th house is an Upachaya Bhava, which indicates growth which happens after struggle].
If Mars [Karaka of siblings], is with the 3rd lord and is placed anywhere except Trika Bhava’s [6-8-12], then one enjoys the happiness of brothers. If they both [Mars and lord of the third house], is with malefic and is in Trika Bhava’s [6-8-12], then siblings are born but they don’t survive.
[Read this with respect to the previous rule, it implies that if the lord of a Bhava is with Karaka of that Bhava then it indicates auspicious results for that. Notice that this combination of Bhavesha and Karaka even if it is in bad houses gives results related to that house, although it is not long lasting it gives the effects, this is to be noticed seriously].
If lord of the third house is Kendra, and Karaka is in trine with Jupiter in his exaltation, then one has twelve siblings.
[Here Kendra is from the Bhava and not from the Lagna is what I can add with my experience, Now trine placement of Karaka is to be seen both from the Bhavesha and also from the Bhava but make sure to leave bad houses. For example suppose 3rd lord is in 12th house then it is a Kendra from 3rd house which promises siblings [altough some miscarriages can be there], now if Mars is in 4th or 8th house then in 4th house it is good and satisfies this Yoga, but if in the case it is in the 8th house it doesn’t fulfill the condition of this Yoga because it is in 6th from 3rd house.
Exaltation of Jupiter is an example which can be interpreted as Jupiter being an auspicious planet and Karaka of blessings if exalted promises one enjoys blessings in his life. As per my experience here Jupiter can easily be replaced with 9th lord, 5th lord or Lagna lord [From Lagna]. If they are strong [1-5-9] lord from Lagna, one is sure to get blessings in his life, if they are weak then other houses lord even after they are exalted and Vargottama will tend to give nothing to the native].
Now, Some Shlokas for interpreting Divisional charts from Brihat Parashara Hora is also being provided which will be very useful for learners and researchers of Vedic Astrology.
If Lagnesh is in Amsa of Dara [7th house] and Dareshwar [7th lord] is in 12th house then one gets married in either 23rd or 26th year of his life.
If 8th Amsa is in Dara [7th house] Rashi and in amsa of Lagna there is Venus, then one gets married in 25th or 33rd year of his life.
[Notice here the word used is Amsa which in my humble opinion refers to the relevant divisional chart and not Navansha always, however in this case of marriage it is Navansha only. Here we get two precious principles. Understand them one by one.
- It is a straight combination, Lagna lord in 7th house of Navansha, Navansha dispositor of Lagnesha in 12th house then marriage in 23rd or 26th year – Keeping in mind the times of BPHS, it is a late marriage. 12th house of Navansha not of Rashi. Mind few things here, lord of Bhava [Lagna] is taken from D1, Rashi chakra [D1] indicates Body, having a wife [or for that matter any living being] means having her physically first. Hence lord from Rashi which indicates the body is taken. Now, 7th lord in 12th [Dispositor – What is dispositor? Lord of the sign. What does it indicate? resources. How? Rashi makes a planet either exalted or debilitated it is living to give a planet power, thus dispositor indicates resources. From where it comes and how strong it is. There is a classic combination which says that if dispositor of an exalted sign is debilitated or is in debilitation sign of exalted planet then the concerned planet who is exalted behaves like a debilitated planet]. Now this dispositor is in 12th which is 6th from the 7th house an Upachaya bhava but also a Bad house. This indicates growth but after delays [Bad houses + Upachaya]. If it is in other Upachaya Bhava’s such as 9th, 4th or 5th house which is 3rd, 10th and 11th from 7th house respectively then it will give early marriage.
Lagnesha is taken because Lagna is 7th from 7th [Bhavat-Bhavam is very important in Dasha and it must be used “ONLY” in Dasha.
24th year as per Sudarshan Chakra comes in 12th house where dispositor of Lagnesh is placed, 26th comes in 2nd house which is 6th from 9th house which is the basic house of Navansha [Contemplate on this Basic Bhava of a Divisional chart]. - in this combination, Sage tells us that if Rashi falling in 8th house in Navansha falls in Navansha of 7th Rashi and Venus is in Navansha lagna then one gets married in 25th or 33rd Year. This needs some explanation. One Rashi contains nine Navansha, if the Navansha division of 7th Rashi contains the Rashi falling in 7th house in Navansha then this combination applies. Let’s take an example, It is Leo Rashi, Navansha starts from Aries and ends at Sagittarius, 8th house for Aries is Scorpio and 8th house for Sagittarius will be Cancer. 7th Rashi will be Aquarius, Navansha in Aquarius starts from Libra and ends at Gemini, Hence Cancer is not covered. So, This yoga only applies in first 8 Navansha of fixed signs and not in the last navansha of a Fixed sign. This is applicable in all Rashi. Hence in any chart, if Venus is in Navansha lagna then because it is Karaka for marriage is gives marriage in end, by dint of being Karaka in Lagna, but this combination is not applicable to those charts where last Navansha rises [This yoga can be expanded to other divisional charts too – Think about it]. Karaka in concerned Bhava of the horoscope can be bad but in Lagna, it is always auspicious, however, one must not forget basic rules and must use this principle only when Karaka is strong enough to give something.
25th year as per Sudarshana Chakra comes in Lagna [Where is Venus] and the 33rd year comes in 9th house [Starting Bhava of Navansha]. This also hints at a very simple but important principle, Sudarshan Chakra in Divisional charts, I will present this technique in another article and will teach it extensively in my ‘Varga Viveka‘ Course.
If Saturn is in 10th house in combination with a debilitated planet and Karmansha is in conjunction with a malefic then one will be without any occupation.
[Here, Amsha must mean Dashamsa. Although Dashamsa is said to mean ‘Big Results’ prominence in life nowadays is mostly achieved through the work one is engaged in, except few cases where one gets prominence [medals etc] by the performance of an activity which one indulges in only once [Such as saving one’s life etc].
As we know from the previous article of the series, Dashamsa is not a perfect Varga [where Rashi and Bhava combines], Karmansha can mean two things, First, the Dashamsa falling in 10th house or other Dashamsa found by calculating Dashamsa for 10th house taking Lagna degree as a degree of the 10th house too.
Because in Vedic Jyotish Bhava and Rashi are equal [I am hiding something here], I am here taking it to mean Rashi falling in 10th house of D10.
This combination is quite simple, but it gives a very precious principle which I have found working extremely well in Dasha, the rule is that a planet takes the nature of dignity of a planet he is with. This is also one of the very basic combinations of chart interpretation not clearly stated by Sages but clearly exposed by later day Savants. This means if a planet is in conjunction with an exalted planet then he gives good results if a planet is with a debilitated planet he gives bad results. This also works for cancellation of debilitation where an exalted and a debilitated planet combine together
This Shloka present in front of us a very important principle which directs us to analyse Divisional charts as basic charts like we do for Rashi chart [D1]].
If a planet is in his Parijaat Amsa then he gives comforts, in Uttama Varga makes one disease free, in Gopuramsa gives one cow [livelihood] and wealth, in Singhanamsa confers greatness and grandeur, in Paravatamsa gives education, name and much wealth, in Devalokamsa gives many vehicles and armies, in Airawatamsa makes one a king.
[These terms were dealt in detail in previous part of this article, Here it presents us with two precious principles. Although this deals with the occupation of Vaisheshikamsa [Special divisions] by planets.
Firstly, This Shloka takes planets separately and tells us that if a planet is well placed in more than one divisional chart[Parijaat is being well placed in two divisional charts], it confers auspicious results in his Dasha and Antardasha.
Secondarily, As per me, Vaisheshikamsa is just a general average computing formula [altough it has it’s own usage and importance] but reading a chart separately has its own importance. When we use our mind we find that some divisional charts are in succession. For example, Rashi is the basic chart, Navansha deals with wife and Dwadasamsa deals with lineage, Shodasamsa deals with happiness and comforts whereas Bhamsa deals with Strength and weakness, Chatvarimsa deals with auspicious and inauspicious results whereas Shastiamsa and Panchchatvarimsa deal with all effects. These are eight divisional charts, If 7th lord [of Rashi of Navansha – the Main chart for everything or main chart for the matter] is well placed in all these divisional charts it gives extremely auspicious results as regards marriage, especially in his Dasha and Antardasha.
If we need to see business replace D9 and D12 with D10 and these seven divisional charts will indicate extremely auspicious results regarding the concerned matter – I have explained this in a nutshell, but with examples. Think about it, this can give you many insights into divisional charts].
If the 7th lord is in 5th house and Saptamsa dispositor of the 7th lord is Saturn and 5th lord is in 8th house then one loses his wife due to curse from his wife.
[For interpretation of divisional charts this Shloka gives us an important Sutra which tells us to also look at Varga dispositors of Bhava lords and their nature. This also underlines the importance of Varga dispositors in front of us.
In real chart sometimes we may say this combination fails, Why? because we ignore dispositor of a planet in the concerned divisional chart.
Rest the logic is clear I think hence it is not being explained here].
If Rahu is in 5th house and he is not in Saptamsa of Saturn and is aspected by benefics then one has many children.
[See this Shloka in light of the previous Shloka, Sage here is very clear that even if malefic is in 5th Bhava but if it is not in a malefic Saptamsa [Malefic dipositorsihp in concerned divisional chart], and it is aspected by benefics [Means another support] then one will have progeny [result of the concerned house]
Let me hint something here, Benefics here mean functional benefics taking concerned Bhava as Lagna and another support can also be such as exaltation of the planet or other conditions under which a planet behaves aupiciously].
Jupiter is in same Rashi in D1 and D7, benefic in Rashi falling in D7 Lagna aspected by the 5th lord or conjoined with him gives many children.
[Here I have taken Vargottama to mean in Same Rashi in lagna and the concerned divisional charts – You may agree with this interpretation or not it depends on you but this is what I have seen working in my experience.
Once again benefic here means benefic as per the temporary lordship of the concerned divisional chart. I will make a point here. When I judge all Bhava’s from Rashi chart, I prefer to make the concerned Bhava as Lagna and then find functional nature of planets but in divisional charts I take functional nature as per the Lagna of concerned divisional chart because divisional charts are special charts dealing with that matter, whereas Lagna chart is a basic chart for all matters].
पुत्रस्थानाधिपस्यांशराशीशे शुभसंयुतेI
If Saptamsa depositor of 5th lord [Of Rashi – body again], is combined with benefics or aspected by them then it gives much progeny.
[This indicates the importance of divisional chart dispositor being under benefic influences, This is also one of the important Sutra which can be expanded to all other divisional charts].
दारेशग्रहसंयुक्तनवांशभवनाधिपेI
If the 7th lord is combined with a planet and his Saptamsa dispositor [of the conjunct planet], is aspected by Lagna lord, 2nd lord or 5th lord then it gives many children.
[This is just to show the importance of divisional chart dispositor, 7th lord have nothing to do with progeny directly, indirectly it related but in my opinion, it is just to highlight the importance of Divisional chart dispositor.
This also authorises our another approach of taking Bhava lordships from the concerned Bhava. 2nd lord, 5th lord and Lagna lord become lord of 10th, 1st and 9th house respectively from the 5th house].
If the 5th lord is conjoined with the 12th lord and they both are placed in 8th house, at the same time if 8th lord is under malefic Shastiamsa [Whose lord is malefic] then one is childless.
[This is three malefic influences on a Bhava, But why I have chosen to give this Shloka is for another reason. In Divisional charts upto D12 Rashis appear only once, We can divide malefic and benefic Rashi in them easily as per nature of the Rashi and it’s relatative placement vis-a-vis starting Rashi, For example 3rd, 6th, 8th Navansha is malefic especially when it is also lorded by malefic planets [take temporal nature here], For those divisional charts where Rashi repeats more than once in the scheme [for all divisional charts above D12], Deities of the concerned divisional chart becomes very important, only deities can distinguish a Rashi as benefic and malefic – Think over it, I have told this in a nutshell only].
If Jupiter is under a malefic D60 deity, and eight lord is in 5th house and 5th lord is in eight house then one remains childless.
[This implies the importance of an exchange where two Bhava’s identity is mingled, If it is between two good Bhava’s then better, if between two malefic Bhava’s then good, if between a good and a bad Bhava [like in this case] then it is horrible.
However, my point here behind presenting this combination was to underline the importance of Karaka. Karaka means the doer, who do things at first. By do I mean marriage proposal in case of marriage and conception in case of childbirth. If Jupiter is afflicted in a horoscope then women may have difficulty in conceiving progeny, this Shloka also underlines the importance of D60 and deities of D60].
If Lagna lord is in own Rashi in Dwadasamsa, or in Own Rashi in Drekkana then his Dasha and Bhukti are beneficial. If in own Rashi or in friendly Rashi in Trimsamsa then also his Dasha and Bhukti are auspicious, If in friends Rashi in Navansha and Dwadasamsa then also his Dasha and Bhukti is auspicious.
[This is just an expansion/illustration of what we have already explored in Vaishesikamsa, a planet dignified in divisional charts give good results in his Dasha and Bhukti [Another name for Antardasha] is self-understood. But this set of Shloka’s is very important in understanding my statement in second part of the article where I have said that Shadvarga is to be used for Dasha. One may notice here that all these divisional charts mentioned here appear in Shadvarga which consists of Rashi-Hora-Drekkana-Navansha-Dwadasamsa and Trimsamsa, Next Shloka presented here clears this in a simple language]
Wherever lord of third etc houses is placed, that Shadvarga gives the effect of that concerned Bhava.
[Now, it is clearly exposed, So whenever I say I am Vedic astrologer I mean it, all the rules given by me are supported by classics and none of them is entirely my fantasy as many people posing themselves as astrologers have].
If in D60 or in D16 if there are Aprakash Graha and this coincides with Rahu Kaal then those house results are dissolved.
[What a beautiful Sutra this is, it mixes Muhurta with birth chart. Muhurta is very important as it indicates auspicious or inauspicious nature of the time, Hence one born in bad muhurta is sure to suffer because the time is not auspicious, those interested in knowing more about this can join my Panchanga course where all elements of Panchanga will be taught in detail along with their application in Birth Chart, Horary Chart and Electional Chart.
Rahu Kaal is mathematically found which will be dealt with in another Sutra, Here I gave this Shloka to underline the importance of D16 and D60 along with Aprakash Graha in divisional chart interpretation.
As told before [In the second part of the article] that D16 and D60 are very important when it comes to analysing Bhava’s. These charts are given special importance by Parashara, He is very clear that whenever any Bhava is afflicted in these two charts or come under malefic deities lordship in these charts then the effect of that Bhava is annihilated.
Aprakash Graha is Dhooma, Vyatipaat, Parivesha, Indrachaap and Upaketu. They are extremely malefic. There is another set of these planets known as Upagraha but Upa means ‘Sub’. Thus, Upagraha is like Son’s of concerned planets and they act according to their father [Planet they are related to – One will notice that only male planets have their Upagraha and not female planets {Venus and Moon}]. But, these Aprakash Graha because Aprakash means lack of light which also implies benefic results, are destroyed.
There are five Aprakash Graha, in every horoscope, five to ten houses will surely suffer, doesn’t it sounds absurd? Yes, it does, but there is a catch. Any house aspected by Jupiter, Mercury and it’s lord gets sustainment [Expand this to mean benefics, expand aspect to also mean conjunction]. Now it is that if any Bhava is not aspected by or conjoined with benefic planets or it’s lord and if in that Bhava Aprakash Graha are placed in both D16 and D60 or with their lords then that house results are denied to the native.
Contemplate on this, for now, In future, I will write articles on Upagraha, Aprakash Graha and will present few research articles on this on matters such as denial of marriage etc, till then think on this aggressively. Aprakash Graha and Upagraha are one of my golden techniques].

If in the concerned Bhava there is no Aprakash Graha in D16 or D60 and friend or fast friend is in the Bhava then the above effects are nullified [means the house is not destroyed.
[Now there is a catch, Friendly and unfriendly have to be decided as per the lord of the Bhava of D1 for example if Saturn is in 5th house in D16 but it is Aquarius rising chart in D1 then Saturn is a friend for the 5th house and bad effects will be cancelled by this combination.
This also supports my explanation given in previous Sutra, If a friendly planet in the Bhava saved the Bhava from being destroyed then what to Say of the lord of Bhava placed in Bhava or an auspicious planet aspecting or being placed in the Bhava].

In Twelve Rashis there are 720 Shastiamsa, 360 Trisamsa, 192 Kaalhoramsa [There are some interpolation in Sutra here which I have ignored and given correct translation], 144 Dwadasamsa, 108 Navansa, 84 Saptamsa, 36 Drekkana and 24 Hora these are in order for Rashi and Nakshatra
[This is the first part of the Shloka, number of divisional charts are found like this: There are twelve Rashi and in one Rashi there are 60 Shastiamsa, Hence in 12 Rashi’s there are 12×60=720 Shastiamsa.
This is serially for Rashi and Nakshatra, this is a very deep stated statement, I have raised some very important questions on this in Second part of the article. The answer is not presented here but is hinted at in an article of mine named ‘Real Hora Varga’. However, the complete answer to this question will be provided in my course ‘Varga Viveka’]
These [Divisions] are enjoyed by Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, Dhooma, Indrachaapa, Paata, Parivesha and Kaala. One needs to find Amsa of these [bodies] and then predict results.
[This is a very important Shloka as it makes clear that only eight planets and five Aprakash Graha is to be judged in divisional charts as only they give effects, other things such as Upagraha or special Lagna such as Arudha etc doesn’t have their special effect when it comes to divisional charts, they give their results with help of another planet in relationship with them.
Also, this Shloka implies that looking at Amsa of Nine planets and Five Aprakash Graha is very important which if not done will lead to an erroneous judgement of a horoscope].
The divisional charts are a virgin area in astrology, much work is required to be done in this area. With the blessings of God and elders, I have been able to do some work on it but everything can’t be given online due to various reasons.
I was also to reveal Panchaswar Dasha of Parashara with an example in this article but I am leaving it for some other article because including it will make this article lengthy which I don’t want. I am of the opinion that some Dasha’s are especially for divisional charts such as Panchaswara Dasha for Shastiamsa, Sandhya Dasha for Dashamsa. I will explain it in a separate article.
There were many other things which were planned to be given in this article but for the limit of space I am leaving it here, maybe another article on Divisional Chart is desired by
