Navamsa Results: Rectification Special

Introduction – There are many methods for Navansha Rectification, Or to say rectification of any divisional chart.

Rectification can be divided into three parts mainly. 

1. Rectification using formulas – These are given in classics like in D144 or D81 Lagna nakshatra must be in trine to Nakshatra occupied by moon at birth, and many more. Problem with these formulas are they seem less dependable and their precision is also doubted. Some of the formulas like Pranpada have to be in trine or 7th to Janma Lagna given in Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra seems unworkable. Because it will fix birth ascendant to few only. However an intelligent astrologer can use them for his benefit safely. We will deal some of the formulas found working like Tattwa-Antartattwa in coming course of time.
2. Rectification using Dasha – This basically means suppose you know someone had a sibling in this dasha then see the same in D3 and find if the planet signifies the event there. If yes then fine, If no then appropriate rectification has to be made. This formula have three problems: 1 – What about those who don’t have much events in their life. Say new born baby. 2 – Do we know dasha in such a depth that we can fix it, take for example Parashara states that if Moon be in Sun’s Rashi and Moon’s Drekkana one will have only female issues. Now this doesn’t seems to fit in line because it doesn’t touch Saptamsa [Divisional chart for progeny] Neither discusses about 5th house or lord, But is based on the fact that Sun and Moon show your capacity of being Father and Mother respectively and Drekkana [D3] along with siblings also show your efforts and Karmaphala, But then another question arises which Drekkana to use. As far as I know there are several Drekkana like Jaimini Drekkana [Somnath] Parashara Drekkana [1-5-9] Pravritti-Traya Drekkana 3 – Which dasha to use, There are several Dasha some are always applicable like Vimshottari, Kaalchakra and some are conditional like Dwisaptati Sama, Shatrimsa Sama and then there are also Rashi Dasha like Char Dasha [Always applicable] and Mandook Dasha [Conditional] Which is one to use. This formula too in hands of an intelligent and experienced astrologer works very well but these two conditions are not easy to meet. Former is a grace while latter can only be have after spending considerable time in Jyotish.
3. Rectification using Traits – There are some traits for being born in a particular Rashi, In a particular Navansha, In a Particular Dashamsa. There is a method to find moles on body/birth marks. These methods can be used safely to rectify charts. This method again needs one to be experienced [To know the techniques and apply them] Intelligent [To Remember them] and must use his discrimination [Sometimes contradictory results may come to be seen] However this is the safest method, If one knows about it. Like Varahamihira says if at birth time Moon be in Kendra to malefics mother will suffer much pain while giving birth to child. This can be easily used to fix nakshatra pada of Moon. Like an astrologer teaches that Planets in trine to Navansha lagna give their traits to native. Many people only by copying his formulas have established themselves as astrologers charging huge fees with no research of their own but only borrowed material. Nothing is bad in borrowing knowledge, It belongs to sages and not us humans, but one must have his own contribution too, One not having enough intellect to find anything of his own is useless to be consulted. Planets in trine to Navansha lagna give their attributes to native. This is true but why. Let me explain. Suppose your ascendant is 13.08 Aquarius this is 4th Navansha and it comes in Capricorn [because in Aquarius navansha starts from Libra and 4th there from is Capricorn] Now if Lagna is 13.08 Aquarius then 5th house will be 13.08 Gemini and 9th house will be 13.08 Libra, Calculating their navansha separately one finds that 13.08 Gemini and 13.08 Libra also falls in Capricorn Navansha. Hence technically 1-5-9 Houses are same in Navansha, This is the reason behind this formula working. This also established usage of Equal House Division which if not followed will distort all Divisional Charts. [I remember Professor Krishnamoorthy who propagated Krishamoorthy Paddhati never used divisional charts] But an astrologer using to say Placidus system and also Navansha Trine rectification is basically contradicting his own theory and is just a copycat with no mind of his own. However coming back to our topic. This method of rectification using Traits is being dealt here, and other methods will be dealt in coming articles on the same topic.

Aries

1. Aries Rashi Aries Navansha – Born in a East-West Street, South facing House, Lane Adjacent to his house again a lane near third house, There is temple of lord Ganesha or Lord Mukunda [Vishnu] in the street, an array of trees can be viewed from his house, There is a dilapidated house [unoccupied by anyone since long, not necessarily dilapidated] behind his house. 2. Aries Rashi Taurus Navansha – South-North Street, East facing house, Forest [Nursery/Park with many trees] in South West Direction. Have a dark complexion, narrow forehead, long face, long nose and talks slowly.
3. Aries Rashi Gemini Navansha – Normally males are born in this combination [Female will be tomboyish] House of birth is in east-west street, north facing house, Shiva’s temple in east, Ganesha’s temple in west end, Vaishya in caste [Father or many relatives engaged in business/trading] wheatish in complexion and very famous. The birth is in a cart if it is in the 2^nd half of Navansha [Santhanam adds this is an unfailing clue] He is bald and has uneven hands.
4. Aries Rashi Cancer Navansha – Pressed Nose [Not prominent] prominent hair on toes, Single child, normally males are born in 1^st half of this combination. South East Street, east facing house, No child [Without progeny] neighbor has some physical deficiency [Neighbor living around birth place at birth time] the 2^nd half of this Navansha indicates female nativity with a mole on left bosom, curly and long hair and a tamarind tree can be seen by the side of house [Birth place]
5. Aries Rashi Leo Navansha – First half indicate male birth with mole on right side [Of body, A prominent mole – Clearly visible] Kshatriya [Father/Many family members in Army/Police] South North street, neighbor issueless [At birth] and a temple in corner [of birth place] The second half causes short stature, birth in south west street, a big tree in south.
6. Aries Rashi Virgo Navansha – lean loins, uneven hands and back [Walks limping], soft body. If born in first half he will be initially lean and then grow stout. In second half normally females are born.
7. Aries Rashi Libra Navansha – His wife is of questionable character, the second half of this Navansha indicate Brahmin [engaged in intellectual pursuits] there is a tank near the house [birth place]
8. Aries Rashi Scorpio Navansha – Many Tamarind trees in the south west [from birth place], east facing house, very clear in speech, his face looks like that of monkey, has serious venereal diseases and kills animals
9. Aries Rashi Sagittarius Navansha – Lean and tall, uneven forehead and ears, born in west facing house [hospital] in the south north street.

Taurus

1.
