We, the followers of Sanatana Dharma (the eternal religion) worship fire and do fire circumambulation, worship fire, do fire sacrifice and also do Yagya Karma, giving offerings to fire, as the temple is the abode of God, who has fire element in maximum and the temple is energy generator we circumambulate around the temple to get the energies of the temple in synchronization with our internal energies.
Especially, the fire sacrifice in Hinduism and Parsi religion is of much importance and as we give offerings to fire which then reaches gods and gives us the desired thing, for this we do Yagya and Havana, but we do these Yagya and Havan any day whenever we desire, this is not a correct approach. Havana and Yagya should only be done when the fire is residing on Earth only then does it give the desired results and blesses one otherwise when the fire sacrifice is done on those days when the fire is in the skies it gives death to the one doing fire sacrifice on those days, here the death means whatever is our purpose of doing the fire sacrifice, instead of getting the results the issue gets more worsened, the longevity of the worshipper is lost and one is enshrined by diseases, miseries and other such mishaps.
When the Agni is in netherworlds, if one does fire sacrifice on those days, it leads to the loss of wealth, blessings and prosperity and further the one doing fire sacrifice on such days also witnesses misfortune and gets themselves caught in diseases, miseries and tensions.
How to Know Agnivaas: Take the weekday number (1 for Sunday etc.) and the Tithi number (1 for Krishna Pratipada, 16 for Shukla Pratipada etc.) add them and then add 1 into it, then divide it by four, if the remainder is 0 or 3 the fire is residing on earth which is auspicious, if the remainder is 1 the fire is in skies which leads to loss of longevity and if the remainder is 2 then the fire is in netherworlds which leads to misfortune.
Given below is the ready reckoner table using which you can know where Agni is residing based on the Tithi and Weekday of any day.
Thanks for patiently reading this article.
