In Jaimini raajyoga is seen from Aspecting planet
Yogada
Jupiter and Venus here become Yogada of second-highest quality.
Saturn becomes a Normal Raajyoga significator.
Argala
To further see the strength of Yogada one must resort to Argala and Virodhargala on Yoagda. Order must be primary argala – Secondary Argala and then Special Argala.

Here we find Sun, Ketu and Mercury are giving Argala from the 2nd house to Venus without any obstruction. Mars and Moon are giving Argala from the 4th house to Venus without any obstruction.
Rahu is giving 2nd house argala to Jupiter without any obstruction and Mars and Moon are giving 10th house Virodh Argala to Jupiter but it is not considered as disturbing because it has contributed argala to another Yogada [Venus].
Hence we find in this chart all planets support Raajyoga. Only such a chart can give a life path life this where a person born in a normal family of grocers with 5 siblings, who himself ran a tea stall at a time with his brother near Railway Station and then rose to such prominence to become Chief Minister of Gujrat and then Prime Minister of India.
Only Saturn is not supporting in Raajyoga [He is not Yogada nor giving Argala to any Yogada]. Saturn showed his colours at many places where he made him a wandering person for two years, a workaholic, a married man who never consummated marriage. This is all known from his Wikipedia biography.

Jaimini Raajyoga’s
1.3.18 – If Arudha Lagna and Arudha of 7th house be in Kendra or Kona one are Shreemanta which means prominence in life. We find in his chart AL and A7 is in Gemini which is the same house [1] Hence it falls in both Kendra and Kona Indicating it is a Raajyoga chart.
1.3.22 – Jaimini instructs us to see Argala on Lagna and 7th from it. As the chapter is talking about Arudha I have taken it to mean Argala in Arudha lagna or 7th there-from.
In this method, Argala and Virodh Argala of the 4th and 10th houses can coincide. The 4th from Lagna is 10th from 7th and the 10th from Lagna is 4th from 7th. Hence in this matter, only Two argalas of the 2nd and 11th house is taken Valid by me. Expelling any chances of contradiction along with Special argala of 3rd house.
One can notice here that 11th from 7th will be 5th from Lagna [Arudha Lagna] and 11th from Lagna will be 5th from 7th. This justifies secondary Argala where the sage instructs us to see Argala in the 5th house and Virodh Argala in the 9th house. This is taken as superior Argala here in this Sutra because it will give dual Argala to Lagna [Arudha Lagna] and Saptama [7th from Arudha Lagna].
In his chart we find 4th from Arudha Lagna is having three planets [Ketu, Sun and Mercury] obstructed by Rahu who is weak cannot obstruct the Argala. Making it a chart having Raajyoga.
There is Virodh Argala of 3rd house for Arudha lagna and Virodh Argala for 12th house and 3rd house for 7th from Arudha lagna but they are being ignored because of the most powerful Rashi in the horoscope. Based on Jaimini’s strength. gives Argala to Arudha lagna.
[There are some differences of opinion in calculations of Hora Lagna and Ghatika Lagna and because I have not yet solved the matter I am leaving this part]
Shloka 1.3.30, 1.3.31, 1.3.32 and 1.3.34 – It says benefics in 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th and 9th from Arudha Lagna gives Raajyoga along with Malefics in 3rd and 6th. Also, see the same from Lord of Arudha Lagna and Lord of 7th from Arudha Lagna. If this order is disturbed it reduced Raajyoga. If the order is reversed this makes natives live in penury.
This yoga exposes two Raajyogas one is indicated here and another is Mani Praval Raajyoga. To be reckoned from Lord of Arudha Lagna or lord of 7th from Arudha Lagna [Whoever is stronger]
Arudha Lagna – Benefic in 8th and Malefic in 6th [debilitated Moon taken as malefic] only is flawless rest all makes it a yoga of mixed character.
Mani Praval Raajyoga needs to be seen using Graha Chakra. Lord of Arudha Lagna Mercury is strong due to two reasons [Placed with two more planets and being Bhratru Karaka] Hence Mani Pravala Raajyoga needs to be found from Mercury.
It makes it as Mercury-Sun-Ketu-Mars-Moon-Jupiter-Rahu-Venus-Saturn. It again makes a Yoga of mixed character due to Jupiter [Benefic in 6th] and Sun, Mars and Saturn malefics in 2nd, 4th and 9th respectively. This has its own implications which will be seen in his life. [I don’t want to make a prediction here] [A separate article on Graha Chakra will be written soon keeping in mind its exhaustive application in Raajyoga and Dasha in Jaimini Astrology]
The Timeline [Dasha]
- June 1975, Indira Gandhi imposed emergency which lasted until 1977. Modi was appointed as General secretary of the “Gujrat Lok Sangarsh Samiti” a RSS Committee coordinating opposition to the emergency in Gujrat.
It was Aquarius Dasha from 1972 March to 1981 September. Divide this into three parts [Results of Yogardha Dasha needs to be seen from Drekkana and Navansha – There is no provision of Antardasha in this system]1 1972 1975 May 2 1975 May 1978 July 3 1978 July 1981 Sep It was in 2nd part of Aquarius Dasha. Aquarius is an odd sign. 2nd lord from Aquarius is Jupiter. In Drekkana Jupiter is placed in Libra. Hence we need to see Libra in Rashi chakra.
Libra is Lagna aspected by two benefics Jupiter and Venus and a malefic Saturn. It being Trikona from Arudha Lagna gives medium results. [See 11.3 of Jyotish Phala Ratna Mala]
11.3 states “If the Dasha sign in the kendra is aspected by an exalted planet which is aspected by a benefic or if the Dasha sign in the kendra is aspected by benefics, it gets full strength and the result is quite good. If the dasha sign in a trikona is occupied or aspected as said above the result is medium. If the Dasha sign is in the sign other than the Kendra or Kona is similarly aspected the result is low.
One should see this principle in light of the Fact that main Dasha Rashi is Aquarius which is again Kona from Arudha Lagna aspected by none.
Intelligent readers will not fail to note that here I have taken Kendra as meaning Kendra from Arudha Lagna due to it being Raajyoga Dasha. - Shortly afterwards Modi was forced to go underground and frequently travelled in disguise to avoid arrest. He became involved in printing pamphlets opposing the government, sending them to Delhi and organizing demonstrations. Modi was also involved in creating a network of safe house for individuals wanted by the government and in raising funds for political refuges and activists
Libra is aspected by Venus who in turn is in 4th from Atmakaraka Moon in Jaimini Navansha indicating his printing work. Same sign further being aspected by Saturn also indicates travelling in disguise and other activities he was involved in.
During this period he also wrote a book in Gujrati describing events during the emergency. This validates the usage of Krishna Mishra Navansha / Jaimini Navansha in reading effects of Karakamsa. - Modi became a RSS Sambhag Pracharak in 1978, Overseeing RSS activities in the area of Surat and Vadodara and in 1979 he went to work for the RSS in Delhi where he was put to work researching and writing the RSS’s version of history of emergency . He returned to Gujrat a short while later and he was assigned by the RSS to the BJP In 1985
1978 was Same Aquarius – Libra already scrutinized.
1979 – Mars [3rd lord from Aquarius] is in Capricorn Drekkana hence Capricorn Dasha. This is having Direct aspect [Sanmukha drishti] of Venus [In 4th from Moon in navansha] indicating his research work for writing
1985 – Dasha changed to Capricorn – Being aspected by Yogada [Venus] and Atmakaraka [Moon] along with Amatyakaraka [Mars] shows rise in his status within RSS. One can argue it being 8th from Arudha Lagna but it’s lord in 3rd from Arudha Lagna makes a Raajyoga [Explained above] which justifies the condition. From Karakamsa it is 9th sign. It being a Raajyoga here 8th house and 6th house have to interpreted differently than in Normal Dasha’s. - In 1987 Modi helped organise the BJP campaign in Ahmedabad Municipal Election. Which the BJP won comfortably.
Sagittarius Dasha – 7th from Arudha Lagna [Kendra] aspected by exalted Mercury. Lord of Sagittarius is malefic in 9th from Arudha Lagna and also contributing in Mani Pravala Raajyoga from Lord of seventh from Arudha Lagna. This was to make him a king-maker which he did. But wait for a while and make Sagittarius as lagna to find Lagnesha in 3rd from Lagna this prevent him to be a king. Other events can also be seen from this method [Making Dasha sign as lagna]

After L.K.Advani became president of the BJP in 1986, The RSS decided to place it’s members in important positions within the BJP. Modi’s work during the Ahmedabad election led to his selection for this role and Modi was elected organizing secretary of the BJP’s Gujrat until later in 1987.
This dasha of Sagittarius was from 1986 March to 1996 September and in the meanwhile “Modi rose within the party and was named a member of the BJP’s National Election Committee in 1990
He took a break from politics in 1992, Instead establishing a school in Ahmedabad he returned to electoral politics in 1994. Partly at the assistance of Advani, and as partly secretary. Modi’s electoral strategy was considered central to the BJP victory in the 1995 State Assembly Elections.
In November of that year Modi was elected BJP National secretary and transferred to New Delhi where he assumed responsibilities for party activities in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
Modi on the selection committee for the 1988 assembly elections in Gujrat, favoured support of BJP leader Keshubhai Patel over those supporting Vaghela to end fractional divisional in the party. His strategy was credited as key to the BJP winning an overall majority in the 1988 elections and Modi was prompted to BJP general secretary in May of that year.
Many events happened in this Dasha. I am not explaining all for lack of space but will give Antardasha so that readers themselves can see things clearly.

Chief Minister of Gujrat
In 2001, Keshubhai Patel’s health was failing and the BJP lost a few state assembly seats in the by-election. Although BJP leader L.K. Advani and A.B. Bajpayee did not want to ostracise Patel and were concerned about Modi’s lack of experience in government. Modi declined an offer to be Patel’s deputy Chief Minister telling Advani and Bajpayee that he was “Going to be fully responsible for Gujrat or not at all”
On 3 October 2001, he replaced Patel as CM of Gujrat with the responsibility of preparing the BJP for the December 2002 elections.
On 7 October 2001 Modi was administered the oath of office, On 24 February 2002, he entered the Gujrat state legislature by winning a by-election of the Rajkot-II constituency.
Scorpio Dasha: Gemini Antardasha

Lord of the sign is in sign a very good indication which makes Dasha capable of producing some auspicious events due to Dasha Rashi being a temporary Lagna lagnesha will be in Lagna.
Make dasha Rashi as lagna to see 9th lord is in lagna with lagnesh [Raajyoga] but debilitated with 6th lord [with struggle – former CM was having health issues – 6th house indications] 10th lord from Dasha Rashi is in 11th house with 11th lord exalted making it a dasha giving some achievements [Position of 10th lord] Jaimini doesn’t identify combustion, fewer degrees etc.
4th house of the throne is having 5th lord Jupiter aspected by 4th lord and lagna lord but also 6th lord [See circumstances which made him CM]
Rahu in Kona from Dasha Rashi was to give some pain [we will see Gujrat Riots after this] Rahu in Kona from any dasha Rashi is a pain. Position of 11th house and lord is good proving honours.
From swamsa, this is 7th Rashi with Jupiter [Benefic] aspected by debilitated Mars and Sun along with retrograde mercury [See Gujrat riots] Swamsa have to play its way.

On 27 February 2002, A train with several hundred passengers burned near Godhara. Killing approximately 60 people. The train carried a large number of Hindu pilgrims returning from Ayodhya after a religious ceremony at the site of the demolished Babari Maszid. In making a public statement Modi said that “The attack had been terror attack planned by local Muslims”
The state government stated that 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus were killed independent sources put the death toll at over 2000. approximately 1,50,000 people were driven to refugee camps, numerous women and children were among victims of the violence including mass rapes and mutilations of women.
The government of Gujrat itself is generally considered by scholars to have been complicit in the riots.
Modi government-imposed curfew in 26 major cities, issues shot at sight orders and called for the army to patrol the streets but was unable to prevent the violence from escalating.
Modi’s personal involvement in the 2002 events has continued to be debated.
The SIT [Special Investigation Team] questioned Modi in March 2010, In May, It presented to the court a report finding no evidence against Modi.
In the aftermath of the violence, there were several widespread calls for Modi to resign as CM from within and outside the State
Modi submitted his resignation at April 2002 BJP National Executive Meeting in Goa, But it was not accepted. His cabinet had an emergency meeting on 19 July 2002 after which he offered his resignation to the Gujrat Governor S.S. Bhandari, and the state assembly was dissolved.
All this happened in the same Scorpio-Gemini which is 6th from Arudha Lagna [Raajyoga] having Atmakaraka [Debilitated – No comments here] Implication of Navansha is very clear here. In Navansha Scorpio is aspected by debilitated Mars [violence] Sun [Governance-authority] and Mercury [Speech-Intellect] which is retrograde [Reversed] “Mind Modi’s statement here”. Antardasha Rashi Gemini is having Rahu “This was the time for humiliation to come” [Event can be seen in detail making nine fractions of Dasha] allotting it to Scorpio-Libra-Virgo-Leo-Cancer-Gemini-Taurus-Aries-Pisces respectively. [I am just hinting things here not going in detail because the computation of Yogardha Dasha is to be exposed in a separate article along with its functioning]. However Intelligent readers will not fail to grasp hints quickly. GnatiKaraka [Sun here] denotes events like this, Lord of Antardasha Rashi Mercury Himself BhratriKaraka [3rd house] is with Sun [It is a combination of BK and GK] Treat this as a combination of 3rd, 6th 8th and 12th lord in their negative aspects and you will understand what it means.
Watch it carefully it is a mixed combination of BK+GK and AK+AmK. Then see the lord of Gemini in Navansha [8th from Gemini] Clear, Isn’t it?
Despite opposition from the election commissioner who said that a number of votes are still displaced, Modi succeeded in advancing the election to December 2002. On 22 December 2002, Bhandari swore Modi in for a second term – It continues to remain Scorpio Dasha and Gemini Antardasha, Notice here that how in his Drekkana almost 6 planets in two houses gave him almost repeating Antardasha and success. The combination of BK and GK is not much damaging for the reason it’s happening out of the scope of the Dasha [Not in Dasha or Antardasha Rashi] whereas the combination of AK and AMK is happening in Dasha sign itself involving the lord of Dasha sign.

Mars-Moon-Jupiter-Rahu-Venus-Saturn-Sun-Mercury-Ketu-Mars-Moon-Saturn
In Graha chakra 1st house Karaka becomes Karaka of 10th house too, 2nd house Karaka becomes Karaka of 11th house too and 6th house Karaka also becomes Karaka of 12th house. This is the importance of Dasha lord in Jaimin Rashi Dasha’s. Here Dasha lord is not only making an auspicious AK+AmK yoga But is also in own Rashi, exalted drekkana and debilitated Navansha with Neechbhanga. This clearly indicated two out of three factors being well, his ruler-ship along with a damaging factor being sustained by Neechbhanga which also makes GajKesari Yoga in Navansha, that despite some humiliation and troubles success will be there for native it enjoy.
Making extensive use of Graha Chakra we find Mars, Rahu and Sun as lord of Kendras [1-4-7-10] and Venus and Ketu as lord of Kona [5-9] and then we find the conjunction of Sun and Ketu in 11th from Dasha Rashi aspected by Rahu from 5th of Dasha Rashi [5th house indicates gain of power] This tells the story well with so brilliancy that it becomes self-explanatory combination in itself.
In 2007, Modi authored “Karma Yoga” a 101-page booklet discussing manual scavenging. This book was not circulated at that time due to electional code of conduct Libra Dasha Capricorn Antardasha [3 Division] (Of Dasha) 4th from Atmakaraka Moon is Venus in Jaimini Navansha which makes a very light yoga for a writer, Light means an author who wrote few books for promotion or for his mission, not an avid or formal writer. This sign is ruled by Venus itself. In Capricorn Navansha Mercury is there. Readers must not that Jaimini has said yoga for authorship from four planets [Jupiter, Mercury, Moon and Venus] Houses for skills/Profession are 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th from Swamsa. It must be seen like 1-5-4-2-3 houses from swamsa. Yoga for authorship also includes some dictum for aspects in them which means yoga for authorship may also happen with help of aspects. Here Venus is having the frontal aspect of Mercury who is a contributor to Jaimini’s authorship yogas. Thus the event. along with this “He had published a Gujrati book titled “Jyotipunj” in 2008, Containing profiles of various RSS leaders. In September 2013 Modi was named as BJP’s candidate for Prime Minister in the 2014 Loksabha election several BJP Leaders expressed opposition to Modi’s candidature including founding BJP member L.K. During the campaign Modi focused on the corruption under the previous Indian National Congress government and played on his image as a politician who created a high rate of GDP growth in Gujrat – Corruption is seen from GnatiKaraka in the Rashi whereas playing on own’s previous work is seen by Bhratrukaraka in the sign. I will not explain this but let me state this [Mind Gnatikaraka and Bhratrikaraka] in the sign with Ketu, a spiritual planet who in life gives harassment, black days. “Prior to the election Modi’s image in the media had centred around his role in the 2002 Gujrat riots, but during the campaign, the BJP was able to shift this to a focus on Modi’s Leo-liberal ideology and the Gujrat model of development. In combustion with 12th lord. 12th house is neutral 12th lord is malefic but here with Ketu, Ketu plays a double role here for Sun he destroys significations of the planets he is with and for Mercury he trebles power of Mercury [If Ketu is with any planet in own house or exalted he gives him thrice more power than usual – Is a dictum I read in my formative years of Astrology] This sign is in 4th [Kendra] from Arudha Lagna [Raajyoga] and 11th [Trishdaya] from Atmakaraka [Inner motives-Self] 5th and 9th lord from Dasha Rashi is in conjunction in 12th house their depositor is in Lagna – Very good.
What I have observed is depositor is pregnant with the powers of the planet he deposits and wherever he goes he also gives the effect of those powers he had within himself.

In combination with Sun [Graha Chakra signification – 2nd and 11th houses – Demonetization and Goods and Service Tax] along with Ketu [Rules 3rd house in Graha Chakra – Foreign Travels] in 3rd from dasha Rashi, there is a combination of Mars and Moon [4th and 5th lords in Graha Chakra] There is also a combination of Venus and Saturn [Lords of 9th and 10th in Graha Chakra – It’s meaning I won’t explain for sake of controversies]
Make Cancer lagna in D3 to find the connection of Mercury, Sun and Ketu repeating. This in Drekkana is in 3rd from Yogada [Sun and Ketu are malefics, Mercury by virtue of company will become malefic – 3rd house special Argala] Lord of the sign is with exalted Mars and sign itself is aspected by a benefic Venus. Remember the statement from Jyotish Phala Ratna Mala, In any way, dasha sign makes a connection with an exalted planet and become aspected by a benefic then Dasha is very good [For Yogardha dasha only] In drekkana I am not using lordships due to nature of Jaimini Drekkana is different than traditional Drekkana. In Jaimini Drekkana houses are marked by the placement of lords of Birth Charts. Hence 3rd house in Jaimini drekkana will be the sign occupied by the 3rd lord of Rashi Chakra. For this very nature, I am not using Lordships in Drekkana.
Make Cancer lagna in D9 to find it with debilitated Mars [praised by Bharavartha Rathanakara] Why did Jaimini say “होरादय सिद्दाः” and “सिद्धा उडुदाये” It means while judging a Dasha make Dasha sign as lagna and then use all Prashari and other cannons. This Mars is further aspected by Exalted Moon and Jupiter [benefic] Condition of Jyotish Phala Ratna Mala – Fulfilled. Mars is the 10th and 5th lord in Lagna. But is 12th from Yogada [Is the best yet to come in some other antardasha]. Check carefully those Antardasha Rashi’s who come in Argala houses from Yogada in Navansha.

Make a chart of 26 May 2014 with Virgo Lagna and Cancer Navansha lagna and see it once again. Focus on foreign investment – 11th lord is Moon [8th house in Rashi with Ketu but own sign in Navansa]
