Died at 38 – An Astrological Case Study.

A Chart was shared by a contemporary astrologer with a note “yesterday afternoon sudden silent death (heart attack) shock for me. Person’s details – 29^th November 1979 08:46:52, Jaipur City – Rajasthan 75E49/26N55 +05:30. Shared on 7 June. Means Native died on 6^th June 2017.

His longevity was 1979-2017 = 38 years. Now let us find why the chart is of Short longevity. Parashara gives three longevity spans, 90years (30 Years short life) 108 Years (36 Years short life) 120 Years (40 Years short life) One can see with Native’s death in his 38th year. His lifespan falls under the Short lifespan of the long section. (120 years) thus longevity can be divided into Short-Short (30) Short-Medium (36) Short-Long (40).

Longevity Determination – Jaimini Method: Lagna (Sagittarius) + Hora Lagna (Capricorn) = Short Life. Saturn (Gemini) + Moon (Pisces) = Middle Life. Lagnesh (Jupiter-Leo) Ashtamesh (Moon – Pisces) = Long life. When From three methods different term of longevity comes one must resort to longevity given by Lagna and Hora Lagna pair. Thus his longevity came as Short life (which was the case) 8^th lord from lagna is placed in Kendra that shows long life. Hence he died in Short-Long span. [One may notice here that placement of 8^th lord in Kendra-Panaphara and Aapoklima must be used like this to decide one’s longevity]

This is having A4 (which represents 4th house also representative of Heart) it is aspected by Sun, Mars, Rahu and Jupiter. Due to Sun and Mars being in exchange they won’t kill.  Rest remains Jupiter and Rahu. Between them, Jupiter is benefic whereas Rahu is the worst malefic. This is said to be Maraka for Capricorn Lagna (Refer Brihat Parashara) Rahu represent sudden things, newly invented diseases, diseases due to Demonic Lifestyle, Heart attack is “A blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle.”   Blockage means Badha (Obstruction) and Natural Badhaka is Rahu (who obstructs Vishnu’s footsteps) Thus one can safely take Nodes for Heart Attack also due to them having the power to eclipse luminaries.

Death Timing (Nakshatra Dasa) – Venus-Rahu-Rahu-Mercury: It was 4^th Dasa (See 4^th from the moon to find out 7th house which is Maraka. Because Vimshottari Dasa starts from Moon one must see 9 houses from the moon to generally assess the flow of Dasa’s) Venus is lord of 6th and 11th house (two bad houses in Lagna) Aspected by Lagnesh and 4th lord Jupiter. He looks beautiful but carefully looking, we find Venus to be conjunct with Gulika. And is aspected by Dispositor of Gulika. Venus itself is the Dispositor of Maraka (Mercury) Dispositors play a major role in Vimshottari dasa (Disposing of a planet is like being impregnated with that planetary powers) Venus lords 3rd and 8th from the moon and in navamsa is in 2nd house. Many factors indicating for death and it is certainly due to the end of longevity in this dasa. Mercury is the 7th lord itself whereas Rahu is defeated in planetary war (Parashara is very clear that planet defeated in planetary war, combust, lords 8-6-12 houses or in these houses can give death) that too from 12th lord Mars. Rahu is in 6th from Moon (Disease) Lord of Mahadasa shows the theme of Dasa, Antardasa shows an area of work of that particular dasa, whereas Pratyantardasas shows people or events.

Rashi Dasa – Parashara Advises to use Chara Paryaya dasa to see death (Refer chapter on Ayurdaya) Hence I am using Chara Paryaya Dasa Which opens from 9^th house in this case (Refer Jaimini Sutramritam by Shriman Irangnati Rangacharya Chapter 2 Section 4)

It opens from the 9th house due to it being strongest amongst Kona’s (Using the second source of Jaimini Strength, Read about Strength in Jaimini Astrology here at – http://shubhamalock.com/jaimini/strength-of-rashi/) 9th house is having Jupiter and is aspected by Mercury.
Dasa Runs using Prakriti Chakra (Direct for odd signs and reverse for even signs) Padakrama (which is every 6th for fixed signs) 9th house is a fixed sign, Leo. Dasa years are found counting from Sign to its lord. But here lords are not regular lords of signs but those planets placed in Kendra-Panaphara and Aapoklima to Atmakaraka. Using my method Atmakaraka is Sun here. Because he is placed in an even sign (Scorpio) I took 1-10-7-4 to be Kendra and 11-8-5-2 to be Panphara in this order. Virgo dasa proved fatal. Death in any Rashi Dasa must be known from Dwara and Bhaya Rashi. We find Dwara Rashi (Virgo) is occupied by Saturn (a malefic) Bhaya Dasa’s sign is Libra (which is occupied by a benefic Mercury but being retrograde his beneficence is of no use) along with this the sign is aspected by Rahu, Ketu, Mars and Jupiter. 3 Malefic and two benefic influences. In this dasa one must also see 1-3-7-9 houses from Karaka (Karaka for Virgo dasa was Saturn) he himself is a malefic (1) 3rd from it is malefic Sun, 9th is empty and 7th is having Moon (Which is benefic and must have saved by Venusian aspect over Moon makes it malefic causing Rudra Yoga (which happens when Moon is aspected by either Venus or Mars) Here he is also under Graha Drishti of Mars.

The result of transit must also be seen in Trikona Dasa and Chara Paryaya Dasa and we find Jupiter retro to be in Virgo and Moon to be in Libra on 6^th June 2017. Virgo is aspected by Mars and Saturn both malefics and Libra by Rahu, Ketu, Sun and Mercury (Malefic with Malefic)

Added – As per the latest information Native died of Suicide, Which I was unable to guess from the chart, After knowing the event it was easy to justify. But here an astrologer is reminded of his limitations. Even the great sage Parashara mentions “finding someone’s longevity is even difficult for sages, Then what to talk of normal astrologers” However how one will die can be known from the chart.
